GAIM process:
Injection molding stage (partial) - aeration stage (N2) - gas holding stage (cooling pressure constant) - depressurization stage - demolding stage
GAIM device composition:
Gas pressure generator, gas control unit, gas injection device, gas recovery device
The gas-assisted controller is an essential component in the gas treatment system and is responsible for controlling and monitoring the nitrogen injection process and coordinating with the injection molding machine. It generates a time pressure curve with a gas injection pressure control range of 5-400 bar, as well as monitoring nitrogen consumption and displaying an error log throughout the injection process. The gas-assisted controller uses B&R's control and operating unit Power Panel 420 and compact X20 I/O modules to meet the high-precision requirements of gas-assisted injection molding. The controller's cycle time is less than 1ms, ensuring high-precision closed-loop control. By saving process data in a USB flash drive or on a higher level network, customers can streamline data processing. The modular design of the X20 I/O helps BAUER to more easily handle a wide range of machine options.
