Gas-assisted molding in a mold generally refers to nitrogen-assisted molding.
It is mainly used for the molding method of uneven thickness, large and complex products, which can save materials and avoid shrinkage and material shortage caused by uneven thickness.
In general, airways and air intakes must be reserved in the mold cavity for running nitrogen.
The running direction of the gas is controlled by the nitrogen controller next to the molding machine. The running of the gas is related to the airway reserved in the mold. The function of the controller is to control the gas pressure, the holding time and the switching time.
According to the general molding experience, the injection time of nitrogen gas is about to be flushed into the nitrogen gas about 95%--98% of the injection molding of the plastic cavity. Gas-assisted molding dies generally only have no air outlets at the air inlets.
