SMC FRP mould process:
SMC molds need to be heated rather than cooled. The usual heating methods are steam, oil, electricity, and high-pressure water.
When designing the temperature system of the mold, special attention should be paid to keeping the temperature of the entire surface of the mold consistent. The uniformity of temperature can reduce deformation, improve dimensional stability, and uniformity of the product surface.
The compression molding process has the following advantages:
1) Since there is no pouring system, the loss of raw materials is small.
2) Because the pressure of the plastic in the mold cavity is relatively uniform, the flow distance generated by the pressure is relatively short, the deformation amount is small, and the flow is multi-directional. Therefore, the internal stress of the product is very low, so the warpage of the product is also small, and the mechanical properties are relatively stable.
3) It is especially suitable for forming thin-walled products that cannot be warped, and can form larger flat makeup and pot-shaped products.
