           The reason why plastic pipes are widely used is that plastic pipes have many advantages over traditional pipes such as cast iron pipes, steel pipes, and cement pipes:


1. Light weight

        The weight of the plastic pipe is generally 1/8 to 1/5 times that of the cast iron pipe and 1/3 times that of the concrete pipe. It can be packaged, which is convenient for transportation and construction, and the cost is much lower than that of the traditional pipe 50%. If you use traditional pipelines, such as cast iron pipes or cement concrete pipes, due to its own heavy weight, it brings a lot of inconvenience to transportation and installation.


2. Corrosion resistance

        Domestic sewage, rainwater, etc. are usually corrosive, and industrial sewage is more corrosive. Cast iron pipes or cement concrete pipes are used for transportation, and the corrosion resistance is worse than plastic pipes. Plastic pipes have good chemical stability and are not affected by environmental factors and medium components in the pipes. 3. High compressive strength

        The compressive strength of the plastic pipe on the surface is not as good as the traditional cast iron pipe or cement pipe. In fact, the plastic pipe is a "flexible pipe". Under the correct design and laying conditions, the plastic pipe and the surrounding soil bear the load together. Therefore, plastic pipes do not need to have the same strength as concrete pipes and other "rigid pipes" to meet the mechanical performance requirements in use.
